The room was clean and well-equipped with essential amenities like a microwave and fridge. While the corridors could use an update, the room itself was pleasant. The staff was friendly, but I suggest investing in a high fence for better views from the parking area.As a local, I appreciate the value Howard Johnson provides. The reasonable prices make it easier for me to visit without feeling like a tourist. The comfortable rooms and relaxing pool are definite highlights. Some upgrades in the common areas would enhance the overall experience. I also appreciate the proximity to hiking trails, adding to the value of this hotel for nature enthusiasts like myself.With a few improvements, Howard Johnson could offer even more value for guests seeking a cost-effective stay in Mystic.
